Description
- Serendipity brings fellowship among our youth with social and spiritual dimensions. Serendipity usually is broken down into 4 phases. Serendipity starts out with a social atmosphere with Christian music as a backdrop and food to chow down on. The youth interact with each other freely during this time and it lasts about an hour. After that there is a group-building activity in which youth get to interact with each other for about 15 minutes through creative ideas such as skits, games, etc. Then it's prayer time. All youth are encouraged and do participate in lifting each other in prayer. After prayer is over, a discussion forum is set with challenging questions or statements to provoke the hearts of the youth to speak. 1-3 adults are there to facilitate the program, but for the most part ... parents are not in attendance. This allows the youth to open up more and allows the facilitators to know how the youth are doing spiritually and socially.
