MEXICO MISSION TRIP
On June 10 seventeen individuals will be on their way for the trip of a lifetime! We will be going to Lucha Bascan, Chiapas, Mexico, where we will be building a church so that our fellow Adventist Brothers and Sisters of the area can have a beautiful building to worship in. We are praying that we will be able to give them a revived hope in Jesus and an excitement about the future as a Seventh-day Adventist congregation. We will also hold an evangelistic series and a VBS program. We ask for your prayers that from June 10-21 the Holy Spirit will use us to work on the hearts of those in the area, that many can become a part of the church family located in Mexico. Chiapas is the southern-most state of Mexico and the Gospel is spreading there. They have 220,000 church members. Although many are being persecuted, the message is going out at an unbelievable pace. Please pray for us, for the safety of the group, and success in spreading the Gospel, and if you can help support us financially, it will be greatly appreciated as well. On June 26, the Sabbath following our trip, join us at the Spartanburg SDA Church for a report on the successes we experienced during our time in Lucha Bascan. — Pastor Ryan
And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!” (Romans 10:15)

The following “ads” were written by some of Mr. Durby’s students: Our teachers here at Eddlemon are willing to push you to do your very best. We also have a great staff in our school. Most of our staff doesn't get paid because they volunteer to work with us. Our athletic program is very united. Other schools have commented on our excellent sportsmanship. MY GARDEN OF EDEN I have often said, “That my yard is my Garden of Eden.” I love being outside sitting on the porch watching the birds come to the bird feeder, the squirrels digging for their food. We also, see chipmunks running here and there. Roy loves yard work and he has made our yard so beautiful with all kinds of flowers, trees and plants. Do you have a place where you can call it your Garden of Eden? Does God really speak to us? He’s speaking all the time, especially through His word the Bible. God wants to be our friend and closest companion. Deuteronomy 4:29 says, “…if from there you will seek the Lord your God, you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and soul and life.” Set your face like a flint to seek the Father with all of your heart. With every fiber of your being cling to Him, thirsting for His fellowship, for I know that it is His good pleasure to make Himself known to you. When you seek Him, you will find Him, if you seek Him with all of your heart." God is the One that is reaching out to you. Respond to that drawing. We are all at times struggling with different things in our lives. If you need prayer you can go to prayerpwr7@yahoo.com and write your request. I am also looking for people that can join me in praying for others. Just call me at 583-1848 or e-mail me at chichifriend@yahoo.com. — Beverly Mortimer, Prayer Coordinator
SPARTANBURG PATHFINDER CLUB Our year has finally come to an end. It is hard to believe how fast the year has come to pass. Thank you to all of the church members for supporting our club during the year and especially during the Pathfinder Investiture. It was a High Sabbath and we were fortunate to have Elder Stanley Knight and you to worship with. The Pathfinder Club would like to thank you for your support in a fundraiser for Nosoca Pines ranch to purchase new canoes. Our club collected almost $1100 on Pathfinder Sabbath and we have had other donors pitch in to purchase two canoes of the 10 requested. We are truly thankful to our church family as the rest of the conference has only been able to raise enough funds for five more canoes. For each $700 raised, the camp will be able to purchase a new canoe. If you would like to continue to support us, please turn in money to the treasury marked, “Pathfinder Canoe Fundraiser.” Our last activity of the current year is a Pathfinder parade at Campmeeting. All Pathfinders coming to Campmeeting on Sabbath, June 5, please be in full-dress uniform and assemble with our club down at the pool area at 6 pm. We hope all will come and support your Pathfinders. Thank you all for making this a great year! Many Blessings! — Michael Meadows
